Course Description

This course provides emergency responders with the skills and knowledge to respond to a fire or emergency incident involving Fertilizer-Grade Ammonium Nitrate (FGAN). It focuses on analyzing a possible FGAN incident, determining if an evacuation is required, and if not, containing any FGAN near the incident while planning and implementing a response.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Course Completion Requirements

Participants Must Provide

  • a photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.

Attendance Requirements

This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements.

  • Preincident Planning for an FGAN Emergency
  • Incident Management during an FGAN Emergency
