Shawn DeCrane

Sean DeCrane retired after more than 25 years with the Cleveland Division of Fire, serving in various roles, including director of training and chief of operations, and retiring as a battalion chief. He was appointed Assistant to the General President of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Health and Safety Division. Additionally, he has been involved in research at Underwriters Laboratories and the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where he focused on firefighter tactical operations and the firefighter work environment. He served on the UL Fire Council and is a member of the UL Fire Safety Research Institute’s Advisory Board. In 2021, Sean was named to the UL William Henry Merrill Society as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff.
