Course Description
OSH750 Introduction to Safety and Health Management (OSHA #7500) covers the effective implementation of a company’s safety and health management system. The course addresses the core elements of an effective safety and health management system and those central issues that are critical to each element’s proper management. This course is an interactive training session focusing on class discussion and workshops.
NOTE: This course is taught in English.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Participant Must Provide
- a photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
Attendance Requirements
TEEX and the OTI have an attendance policy that requires participants to fully attend an enrolled class in its entirety (100% of the course). We realize that extenuating circumstances may arise that would take a participant out of class and have a policy to handle those situations. If a participant misses less than 20% of the class, he/she may be able to perform makeup work equivalent to the class time missed. If 20% or more of the class is missed, the participant may attend a makeup course upon approval by TEEX’s OTI Education Center Director. See the instructor for more information.

- Explain the importance of the communication and coordination for host employers, contractors, and staffing agencies element in a safety and health program.
Suggested Audience
This course is designed for the small employer, business owner, or manager designated with the responsibility to develop and manage a firm’s safety and health programs or system. The training is also suitable for employees and employee representatives interested in improving safety and health in the workplace.
