Course Description
**PLEASE NOTE** This course has been approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to fulfill 1 credit hour in the following operator license area(s):
– Wastewater Operator License
– Water Operator License
WWW355 Public Water System Security online course provides learners with an overview of the basics of securing a water/wastewater system. Learners will be introduced to water system security requirements and regulations. The course will cover possible threats that systems need to prepare for and security measures systems that can use to ensure the security of their system. After completion on this course, learners will be know how to assess vulnerabilities in their system using formal and informal vulnerability assessments. Lastly, learners will be able to define the aspects of a emergency response plan. All of this will help the water system personnel keep their system more secure and prepared for threats.
NOTE: Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email, a password for access to the course, and a required completion date.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Participants must provide information for all required fields, including their U.S. citizenship/permanent resident information, in addition to meeting all other attendance and course completion requirements. If this information is not provided, the participant will be considered incomplete and will not receive a certificate of completion.
