The 2016 Emergency Response Guidebook (available in English and Spanish) has been distributed throughout Texas to each of the twenty-four Councils of Government (COGs). Each COG should coordinate distribution of the ERGs to their respective counties. ERGs are to be placed in emergency response vehicles, 911 & dispatch centers, and Emergency Operation Centers.

Counties, Departments, and Agencies should contact their respective County Emergency Management Coordinator, who is working with their COG, for distributing ERGs. COG contact information is linked below (by both County and COG region).

The Texas Division of Emergency Management, (Technological Hazards Unit) is coordinating the distribution of ERGs for Texas. State Agencies (such as DPS, TCEQ, etc) are coordinating directly with TDEM, for ERG pickup and distribution.

The TEEX Healthcare Workplace Safety Certificate Program allows us to educate and train our leaders in a way that integrates workplace safety and regulatory compliance into each department within our health system; with this, not only is it helpful in building safety into each department’s processes, but it also creates a network of safety champions throughout our system.
