COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) has announced that registration is open for the 2025 Cyber Readiness Summit, which will be held April 1-3, 2025, at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in San Marcos, Texas.

Cybersecurity attacks have become a common occurrence. Since January 2023, nearly 1.5 million Texans have been impacted by cybersecurity attacks on cities, counties, school districts, colleges, utilities, hospitals and the energy industry. Recent high-profile cyberattacks, such as those in the healthcare and telecommunications industries, emphasize the need for a robust cyber preparedness program.

The three-day summit will feature experts who specialize in making complex topics accessible and relevant to individuals responsible for protecting their business or organization from cyberattacks. The summit will provide engaging talks, interactive sessions and workshops to teach participants how to protect, detect and recover from the evolving landscape of cybersecurity incidents.

The summit will feature topics covering all components of the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework: Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover.

Guest presenters include Bruno Beraldo Rodrigues, of the Google Cloud Team, and Mary Kate Howard of Hewlett-Packard, Inc., among others, including experts from the TEEX cybersecurity team.

Experts in TEEX’s Cyber Readiness Center have decades of experience in private industry, critical infrastructure, military and governmental cybersecurity applications. They help public and private organizations safeguard personal information from cyberattacks by providing training opportunities, conducting assessments of cybersecurity compliance and risks, and developing cybersecurity exercises to test cyber readiness.
