TEEX Emergency Services Training Institute and the Texas A&M Mays Business School are proud to offer an executive development capstone program for chief officers. The program is delivered by professors from the Mays Business School and is designed to provide advanced level professional development to sharpen leadership skills of executives within the fire service.

Fire Service Chief Executive OfficerFOP100NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I
This course is designed for the first-line company officer/supervisor and satisfies the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1021 Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications, Chapter four “Fire Officer I”. It is designed around classroom lectures and group exercises to improve your abilities to manage a single fire company. This includes responsibilities such as the development of an Incident Action Plan (IAP), personnel management and mentoring, and community relations. Upon completion of this course you are eligible to take the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board) written exam and skills testing. Participants that receive a Pro Board certification are eligible for certification through Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) through reciprocity. In addition, participants can apply for certification through State Firefighter’s and Fire Marshals’ Association (SFFMA).Pricing Information: Employees or members of a Fire Department or Agency that is a political subdivision of, or component thereof, the State of Texas are eligible to receive tuition credit from TEEX based on subsidized funding from the State of Texas for this class. Cost: $460.00 per student for Texas Firefighters, departments or agencies Standard Cost: $920.00 per student for Non-Texas Municipal or State FirefighterRegistration Information: For regional open enrollment classes, a minimum of 15 students must be registered no less than 21 days prior to the start date of class. This course is designed to meet the needs of the mid-level officer/supervisor and satisfies the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1021 Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications, Chapter five “Fire Officer II.”  It is designed around classroom lectures and group interactive exercises to improve your abilities to manage multiple fire companies. This includes responsibilities such as strategic planning and operations, personnel development, and organizational communications.Upon completion of this course you are eligible to take the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board) written exam and skills testing.  Participants that receive a Pro Board certification are eligible for certification through Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) through reciprocity. TEEX Emergency Services Training Institute and the Texas A&M Mays Business School are proud to offer an executive development capstone program for current and aspiring fire service chief executive officers. The Fire Service Chief Executive Officer Program (FSCEO) is delivered by professors from the Mays Business School and is designed to provide advanced level professional development to sharpen leadership skills of executives within the fire service. Upon completion of the program you will receive the designation of FSCEO and will join the alumni of the many professionals who have graduated the program. Additionally, graduates will receive a framed Fire Service Chief Executive Officer certificate and coin from TEEX and Texas A&M University. Admission to the program will be on a competitive basis through an application process.
