About The Program

The TEEX Regional Extension Program provides training and technical assistance to local Texas law enforcement agencies. The goal of the Law Enforcement Extension Program is to provide exceptional, standard-based training to the State of Texas law enforcement and protective services personnel for the protection of life and property.

Services Provided

Regional Managers have extensive backgrounds in law enforcement and can assist law enforcement agencies with the following services:

  • On-site training (eligible for TCOLE credit)
  • Agency organizational assessments
  • Technical assistance
  • Establishment of collaborative partnerships

Each one is an experienced leader familiar with the challenges and needs of local agencies and response organizations—from small towns and rural areas to large municipalities. There will come a time in every first responder’s career when they will need to perform life saving medical intervention in the line of duty. Deaths resulting from traumatic injury can be prevented by proper treatment at the scene by a first responder. This course will provide you with the knowledge and tools needed to save your life or the life of someone else. Lifesaving methods are demonstrated using a Self-Aid Buddy Aid (SABA) kit and the methods taught will enable officers to use improvised materials if a SABA kit is not available so that they can survive in medical emergencies until medical help is available.
