Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) Drones

National Unmanned Aerial Systems Integration Center (NUASIC)

Established in 2019, NUASIC works to bring people together to share experiences and collect best practices within the small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) community, as well as meeting the training and technical assistance needs of customers in the public and private sector.

In the world today, the use of sUAS is expanding rapidly. Every day, new opportunities are being identified to implement sUAS into the private and public sector including, but not limited to:

  • Agriculture
  • Emergency Management
  • Disaster Response and Recovery
  • Inspections
  • Private Business Applications
  • Public Safety and Emergency Response
  • Research
  • Surveying

The Center provides subject matter expertise, program development and assistance to state, local, tribal, and territorial jurisdictions as well as the private sector to assist with the use of sUAS in day-to-day operations up to and including major emergencies.

National Unmanned Aircraft Systems Credentialing Program

The National Unmanned Aircraft Systems Credentialing Program (NUASCP) is tailored for U.S. commercial service providers and public safety organizations utilizing small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Part 107/Certificate of Authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration is required to operate in the national airspace system.

Do you need to hire Part 107 certificated and experienced UAS flight crews to perform sUAS flights for you? You have come to right place.

Flight Services

From aerial photography/videography, inspections and assessments, to mapping and more, our flight crews have the equipment and capabilities to meet your needs.

Public SafetySAP151sUAS for Public Safety Personnel
According to the Center for the Study of the Drone, it is estimated that the number of public safety agencies with drones has increased by approximately 82% from 2017 to 2018. There are now more than twice as many agencies that own drones as there are agencies that own manned aircrafts in the United States. Public safety personnel are often required to put themselves in harm’s way to serve and protect citizens. Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (drones) can provide public safety personnel with detailed information so that response teams can make informed decisions. Through the use of drone technology and remote imaging, an individual can assess a situation and plan a response while mitigating any safety concerns for officers and bystanders. This hands-on training provides public safety personnel with critical information and real world skill proficiencies to create safe and proficient remote pilots. With an enhanced focus on field training, individuals will easily transition to more advanced systems and situations. This course provides the participant with actual sUAS flight time utilizing a training quadcopter. This course is also designed to prepare operators to successfully pass the remote pilot knowledge test and achieve FAA remote pilot certification. Actual FAA testing must be administered at an authorized Knowledge Testing Center and is NOT included in the course fee. This course meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements for TEEX sUAS for Public Safety Personnel course #78053. Show less
