TEEX CSHO Program

Become an industry-recognized Certified Safety and Health Official TM (CSHO) in one of the following two tracks:

Construction Industry CSHO Track

This VA-approved TEEX CSHO track is designed for personnel who perform safety and health work on a daily basis in construction environments or have safety responsibilities over others at those locations, including inspections and audits. You can leverage your Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) CSHO training for college credit at these institutions of higher education. We have articulation agreements with colleges and universities that will grant college credit hours for completed TEEX courses, which can be applied toward an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Some agreements are tied to specific college majors. Others refer to the general over all acceptance of TEEX training.

NOTE: A minimum of 50 percent of the courses MUST be taken through TEEX.

*NOTE 2: ALL MEDIC, American Red Cross, National Safety Council or equivalent First Aid instructor cards are acceptable as long as they are current. If you did NOT take your First Aid/CPR training through TEEX, you must send our Customer Care Center a copy of your instructor card as verification of training. This should be done after all CSHO requirements have been met and you are submitting your application.

TEEX CSHO Grandfather Clause

Once a student has started work on a specific TEEX CSHO track, the student is exempt from any new TEEX CSHO course requirements (with the exception of new OSHA Training Institute and/or regulatory agency rules, standards, and requirements). The student may choose to adopt the new TEEX CSHO course requirements (where applicable and allowable).

 

NOTE: All classes must be completed no later than August 31, 2013.
