Recommended
It is recommended that the participant has successfully completed a high school algebra course.
Required Materials
Participants are required to bring a scientific calculator, a 100 ft tape measure, and mechanical or wood pencil(s) with a lead measurement of 0.5mm.
A portion of the course is conducted outdoors. It is recommended that all participants bring appropriate clothing that will allow them to continue operations during inclement weather conditions.
This 40-hour course introduces the student to basic drawing skills needed for preparing scale diagrams of the scene of a vehicle crash and presents five basic formulas that are used to determine the minimum speed or combined speed of a vehicle based on skid and/or yaw marks.
