This course covers the requirements for the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of a respirator program. Topics include terminology, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, NIOSH certification, and medical evaluation recommendations. Program highlights include laboratories on respirator selection, qualitative fit testing, and the use of a large array of respiratory and support equipment for hands-on training.

TEEX and the OSHA Training Institute (OTI) have an attendance policy that requires all students to fully attend enrolled classes. In order for the student to receive a certificate of completion, they must attend the entire class.
