Course Description
This Vehicle Extrication course meets or exceeds the requirements for NFPA 1006 Chapter 8 Standards for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualification, Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Operations and Technician. The course includes classroom lecture and hands on training of Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue. The course focus is Incidents involving common passenger vehicles and Safe Patient Removal.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Participant Must Provide:
A photo identification on the first day of class. See the TEEX Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
PPE must be Level 5 NFPA-approved. See the Student Safety Manual to review PPE requirements for level.
Attendance Requirements
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed
