Course Description
This online course focuses on training responders to perform basic rope rescue operations utilizing appropriate equipment, methodologies, protocols, patient and resource management techniques.
This course meets or exceeds Chapter 5, “Job Performance Requirements” and Level I General Requirements (6.1) in Chapter 6, “Rope Rescue” as described in the NFPA 1006, Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications (2013 Edition).
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a TEEX Certificate of Completion.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
This course must be completed within 30 days of enrollment.
In order to complete this course, you must have:
- Internet connection (broadband connection recommended)
- Current web browser (i.e., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
- Current versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
This course cannot be done on a mobile phone.

To meet attendance requirements, you must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.

Suggested Audience
This training is appropriate for all emergency response personnel involved with technical rescue incident response, and is designed to meet the training requirements of JFPA 1006 Chapters 5 and 6, “Job Performance Requirements (JPR)” (2013).
