This course is designed for the individual conducting fire inspections, life safety surveys/inspection, and fire code enforcement for single occupancy. The Fire Inspection I course satisfies the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 1031), Chapter 4.
It is designed around classroom lectures and individual activities to provide the student the needed skills and knowledge to conduct single occupancy fire inspections. This course does require the completion of pre-course work that will be provided to you once you register for the class. On the first day of class you are required to obtain a passing grade on pre-course work test in order to remain the course.
There are no prerequisites for this course.

- This course requires PPE Level 1 as described in the TEEX Student Safety Manual. All students are required to follow this manual at all times.
- You must wear regular work attire for training activities and classroom sessions.
- You may not wear shorts, sleeveless shirts, or open-toed shoes to any class or field activity.

Annual Fire Training School Registration Requirements
Annual Schools require that you use the online registration system. If you are using a Purchase Order (including H.B. 2604 voucher) please place the number in the PO field for payment. Please know we must have a copy of the PO or voucher within 48 hours of your registration or you will be canceled out of the class.
