This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to operate fire apparatus through a combination of classroom and hands-on training exercises. You will learn advanced techniques related to the operation of mobile industrial fire apparatus, including pumpers, aerials, and trailer pumps.
Special emphasis is placed on hydraulics and pump operations targeting large-volume flow rates, related foam flow logistics, and aerial operations.
This class is intended for experienced apparatus operators.
- Industrial Fire Apparatus Practices I (Non-certification) or equivalent training
Course Completion Requirements
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Level 2 as described in the TEEX Student Safety Manual
To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.

- Drafting operations
- Elevating platforms and aerial operations
- Foam operations
- Foam truck operations
- Friction loss formulas for high flows
- High flow delivery devices
- ICS functions – water supply & foam officer
- Operating the pump
- Operator responsibilities
- Pump types
- Remote foam logistics
- Specific foam systems (breakout)
- Using large diameter hose
Appropriate for all industrial emergency response personnel who have experience operating apparatus, including fire prevention, suppression, control, and safety personnel.

Annual Schools require that you use the online registration system. If you are using a Purchase Order (including H.B. 2604 voucher) please place the number in the PO field for payment.
