Course Description

Loader OperatorThe Introduction to Loader Operator course provides entry-level instruction for the operation of both rubber-tired and track-mounted loaders. During classroom instruction participants are introduced to loader types, common configurations, and related attachments. Training provided also covers machine mechanical systems, safe work practices, and operational techniques. During field exercises, participants are provided hands-on opportunities covering standard operational scenarios designed to practice basic functions of the equipment and reinforce safety procedures.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Course Completion Requirements

Participant must provide:

  • Hard hat
  • Steel-toed footwear
  • Gloves
  • Visibility safety vest
  • a photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines

Attendance Requirements

Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed
