Course Description
The Rescue Access Technician course is an intensive, hands-on 3-day program designed for individuals seeking advanced skills in rope access and high-angle rescue techniques. This course closely aligns with the standards and guidelines set by the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT). Participants will gain practical experience in a controlled environment, mastering the skills necessary for safe and efficient rope access and rescue operations.
This course is ideal for professionals in industries such as construction, maintenance, rescue services, and any field requiring work at height. Participants will leave with the knowledge and confidence to perform complex rope access tasks and execute rescues in challenging environments. Upon successful completion, participants will be prepared to pursue SPRAT certification.
Prerequisites
40 hours of Rope Rescue-Related Training
NFPA 1006 Rope Rescue II/technician is preferred and is strongly suggested before registering for this course.
Attendance Requirements
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 100% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed.
