Course Description

construction worker with sawThe Silica Management for Construction course is designed to provide an overview of the dangers of silica exposure in construction jobs and how to mitigate the hazards. The course topics include diseases associated with silica exposure, compliance with OSHA construction silica standards, 29 CFR 1926.1153, how to test for silica exposure, and methods of controlling silica exposure.


There are no prerequisites for this course.

Attendance Requirements

Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 100% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed.
