Course Description
This online course covers the additional equipment and standard tactics and safety procedures for operating a HPV in a flood response. Many communities operate high profile vehicles (HPV) such as surplus military vehicles and others to enhance their flood response capability. Personnel that will serve as the disaster response crew for these vehicles need additional training in order to operate them safely and effectively as part of a large scale coordinated flood response.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
In order to complete this course, you must have:
- Internet connection (broadband connection recommended)
- Preferred web browser, is Google Chrome. Other web browsers (i.e, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple Safari, etc.) will work. To prevent issues during your online class, be sure that your web browser is updated to the latest version available.
- The current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash loaded on your computer.
Attendance Requirements
To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.

This course is targeted for responders who work within, or may work with, an agency that utilizes High Profile Vehicles (HPV) while participating in a flood water event.
