This three-day course is filled with information needed to successfully complete an inspection or an assessment using a small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS).
One day is devoted to classroom information and two days deal with hands-on exercises. Participants will leave with the foundational elements needed to complete any task at hand.
NOTE: Classes can be canceled due to inclement
weather. Keep informed on the weather forecast for the day of class and
be on the look out for advisory emails from TEEX.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
- Required: Close-toed Shoes
- Recommended: Long Pants
Participant Must Provide
- a photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
- Participants wishing to bring their own sUAS to class must gain approval from the Texas A&M University System by applying at https://www.tamus.edu/risk/risk-management/unmanned-aircraft-system-operations-uas/
Note: TEEX will provide all sUAS equipment including needed accessories to perform flights.
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed
