Course Description
This is the IFSTA Essentials of Fire Fighting lesson covering portable fire extinguishers. The course describes different classes and types of portable fire extinguishers. The lesson also details how to select and use portable fire extinguishers.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Level 4 as described in the TEEX Student Safety Manual for the skills portion of the class.

To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.
