Course Description
After completing this lesson, the student shall be able to describe different types of rescue situations, the hazards involved in those situations, and the Fire Fighter II’s responsibility at vehicle extrication and rescue incidents.

Course Completion Requirements
Participant Must Provide
A photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook opens in a new tab for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
PPE must be NFPA-approved. See the Student Safety Manual to review PPE requirements for level 4.
Attendance Requirements
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed

Upon successful completion, you will be able to:
- Describe the duties of a Fire Fighter II at technical rescue incident.
- Describe rescue practices and goals at various types of rescue incidents.
- Identify tools used at technical rescues.
- Identify vehicle construction methods and components.
- Describe size-up and hazard recognition at vehicle extrication incident.
- Describe vehicle stabilization operations.
- Describe techniques used to access victims at a vehicle extrication incident.
