Course Description

This Conference was established to assist emergency responders who are called out for hunting medical emergencies.  This is done in short sessions on many different topics related to hunting medical emergencies. 

Renaissance Hospital will issue continuing medical education, through Director of Continuing Education. 


There are no prerequisites for this course.

Course Completion Requirements

Participant Must Provide

  • a photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.

Attendance Requirements

This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements.

Upon successful completion, you will be able to:

  • Treat traumatic injuries related to a hunting incident with what you brought or improvised on-site
  • Stabilize snake and insect bites
  • Dealing with emergent pregnancies
  • Build a survival kit & purify water in the field
  • Work to find lost hunters in the brush
  • Understand how drones are used in emergency situations
  • Better understand pollination conversation
  • Learn about Texas gun laws when discharging a firearm

Local emergency first responders, fire, law, EMS, and medical providers.
