Course Description
This 2-day course is designed to meet the needs of Company Officers (COs) responsible for managing the operations of 1 or more companies during structural firefighting operations. This course is designed to develop the management skills needed by COs to accomplish assigned tactics at structure fires.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Participants Must Provide
A photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook opens in a new tab for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
You will need your FEMA SID # the first day of course.
To obtain a SID
- Register at https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid
- Select “Need a FEMA SID?” on the right side of the screen.
- Follow the instructions to create your account.
- You will receive an email with your SID. Save this number in a secure location.
Attendance Requirements
To meet NFA attendance requirements, participants must complete each training module and successfully complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and pass the end of course exam to receive course completion. During the course, your instructor will review additional requirements.
Recommended
ICS 100, 200, and Incident Command System (ICS)-100-level and ICS-200-level training. Preferred courses are available through NFA Online.
Upon successful completion, you will be able to:

- b. Fire confinement, exposure.
- c. Rescue, ventilation, support and overhaul.
- d. Water supply, fixed fire protection systems, and salvage.

All emergency response and public personnel.
