The TEEX Lineworker Academy is a comprehensive pre-employment training experience for individuals seeking a career in the utilities industry. The Academy is a 480-hour program delivered over a 15-week period utilizing traditional classroom instruction combined with practical field exercises followed by required skills testing.
Upon successful completion of the course, graduates earn the opportunity to enter the job market prepared with the knowledge, skills, and abilities prospective employers within the electric power industry require.
In addition, they also receive:
- First Aid/CPR certification with card
- Wood Pole Climbing qualification
- Bucket/Digger Derrick Operator qualification with card
- Traffic Flagger card
- OSHA 10-hour Electrical Transmission and Distribution card
- Framed completion certificate with challenge coin
