This course is designed to meet the needs of the mid-level officer/supervisor. The Fire Officer II course satisfies the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1021, Chapter 5 and provides the tools necessary to obtain certification through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP), State Firemen’s and Fire Marshals' Association of Texas (SFFMA), and the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board).
It is designed around classroom lectures and group interactive exercises to improve your abilities to manage multiple fire companies. This includes responsibilities such as strategic planning and operations, personnel development, and organizational communications.

Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) skills testing is not offered as a part of the class. This course is eligible for
Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) state certification via the TEEX Pro Board / Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Reciprocity process. Candidates, who successfully complete the course, pass the course final exam, and the Pro Board certification testing process will receive a Training Prior Approval (TPA) number on their Pro Board Certification. The Pro Board
Certification with the TPA number may be submitted to the Texas Commission on Fire Protection for reciprocity.
IFSTA, Fire and Emergency Services Company Officer, 5th edition. You should plan to bring a copy with you to class.

Annual Fire Training School Registration Requirements
Annual Schools require that you use the online registration system. If you are using a Purchase Order (including H.B. 2604 voucher) please place the number in the PO field for payment. Please know we must have a copy of the PO or voucher within 48 hours of your registration or you will be canceled out of the class.
