Fire Extension Program
TEEX is the recognized State Fire Training agency for Texas. Appropriations from the state allow us to conduct courses at no charge or a reduced fee for Texas Fire Departments and emergency responders. Fire Extension programs bring the highest quality training directly to departments and agencies across Texas. This training combines classroom knowledge with hands-on training that satisfies both certification and continuing education requirements. Courses range from firefighting, emergency vehicle operations, rescue, ICS, leadership, safety, and wellness. The Extension program provides Technical Assistance to support state and regional conferences/trainings.
Our Regional Managers and Regional Coordinators (see contact information below) live and work in their respective regions. Each is an experienced leader familiar with the challenges and needs of local agencies and response organizations— from small towns and rural areas to large municipalities.
The goal of the Fire Extension Program is to provide exceptional, standard-based training to the State of Texas fire and emergency service personnel for the protection of life and property.
