
Municipal Fire School
July 23 - July 28

Fire prevention, suppression, control and safety personnel from municipalities, industries, state and federal agencies as well as the armed services attend this school for one week each summer. Highly qualified and experienced instructors provide extensive classroom and/or hands-on training.
Annual Schools Path toward Firefighter I and II Certification
Option A – New firefighters or those with limited training opportunities.
Option B and B2 – Firefighters with some training but not enough to complete FFI. They get to skip ASP602 if they have documented completion of the live-fire prerequisites per NFPA 1403. The difference between B & B2 is when ASP604/605 are taken (spring/summer vs fall/winter).
Option C – Firefighters who have completed the Firefighting Phases (1 – 3) from previous Annual Schools or have already finished Firefighter Level 1.

TAMFS Funding
Texas A&M Forest Service funding is available for all courses. You may be eligible to have 100% of your tuition costs covered for Municipal Fire School, as well as lodging and meals!

Campus Housing Cutoff Dates
Campus Housing Reservations cutoff date will be posted soon.
Due to the limited number of rooms, reservations are on a first come, first served basis, once full payment has been received.
Rates are based on five nights, (Sunday through Thursday) per person, per bed.
This is a non-smoking facility.
